The NOME role

Within the IFMSA network, the National Officer on Medical Education (NOME) links national representation with the international work of the Standing Committee on Medical Education (SCOME). At its core: sharing practices, following debates on medical studies and spreading training opportunities.

What drives my involvement

• Teaching methods and access to learning resources;
• student participation in how health education evolves;
• exchanges between associations and perspectives from other countries;
• capacity building and developing training skills.

Related experience

I took part in the August Meeting 2026 in Astana, especially the SCOME sessions. In October and November 2026, I’m taking part in the international oMHE workshop on mental health.

What’s next

I want to turn these spaces into useful resources for other students: reports, training sessions, transferable formats and collaborations.
