Two roles, one association

I started in the culture team, then served as Vice-President for External Relations (VPE) from October 2025 to March 2026. These two roles showed me association life from two angles: what participants experience on the day, and what has to be organised behind the scenes to make an event happen.

External relations

• Following up with partners, institutions and local stakeholders;
• preparing funding applications and thinking about financing;
• representing the association and coordinating with the teams;
• helping prepare welcome and integration activities.

Culture team, NP and Krossover

In the culture team, I helped organise intercultural activities and their logistics. I was also involved in coordination work for the National Platform and the Krossover Festival, mainly around partners and grants.

What I took away

An association isn’t just its visible events: you have to find resources, work with volunteers, welcome people from every background and solve practical problems fast.
